Guidance for applicants

The application process is as short and simple as possible and the ABC team will be happy to advise you.

Please read the pdfABCs Guidance for applicants (468.39KB) carefully before completing your application; join the ABCs mailing list to request a printed copy. The guidance will help you to select your category of award and determine how your project meets the criteria for judging.

All applications should be submitted using the online form. If you are unable to use this form for any reason, please call the ABC team on 024 7679 5768 to make alternative arrangements.

To apply for an award:

  1. Think carefully which category your organisation should enter and which projects that you are involved with most closely reflect the criteria. You can submit applications for more than one project.
  2. Fill out the online application form which will be made available at the end of March
    You will be asked to provide written endorsements from two individuals or bodies who can comment with authority and objectivity on your project. These must be submitted with your online application.

The deadline for receipt of all applications is 5pm on Monday 13 September 2010.

All applicants will hear whether or not their project has been shortlisted by the end of October 2010.

We will be holding a learning event and awards ceremony in December 2010; further details will be sent to applicants during October.

Submission of further evidence or supporting materials

You must submit two written endorsements for each award application as evidence that your project has had a positive impact on interculturality. Your named referees must be able to comment on your project with authority and objectivity, their written endorsements must be submitted with your completed online application form. The ABC team reserves the right to contact your named referees to verify the content of their letters of endorsement.

Please do not supply any further information beyond that included on your application form and your letters of endorsement.
