The winners of the Awards for Bridging Cultures (ABCs) were announced this week at a learning event and awards ceremony in London.

Funded by the Baring Foundation and delivered by the Institute of Community Cohesion (iCoCo), the ABCs were created to celebrate the work of the many organisations across the UK that promote intercultural dialogue.

The winning projects were:

• Limeside and Clarkwell Linking Project, a community linking project between two very different council estates in Oldham
• Shoreditch Festival, a project run by the Shoreditch Trust to share culture and connect communities through the arts
• FolesHillfields Vision Project, which works in Foleshill and Hillfields, two diverse, disadvantaged Coventry neighbourhoods

The awards ceremony, which was held at RSA House in central London, followed a learning event that enabled organisations to share their experiences and discuss good practice.
